Rod Willhoft Boating Accident – Cause of Death: An Arabi man has been perceived as the boater who was killed Saturday after he was jump-started out from a boat that hit the Norfolk Southern Railroad Bridge, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries said Sunday.
The gathering of 33-year-old Rod Willhoft was recovered from Lake Pontchartrain by LDWF experts close by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office at around 11 a.m. Sunday near where the incident happened.
The 24-foot delta boat had five voyagers on board when it struck the platform at around 6 p.m. Willhoft, who was not wearing a day by day presence preserver, was darted away from the boat and didn’t reappear, according to an official news release.
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office was first on the scene and took the four explorers, who had authentic injuries to a boat dispatch. Two were conveyed and two were taken by salvage vehicle to University Medical Center in New Orleans. Every one of the four is recorded in stable condition.
The journey for Willhoft has suspended at 1 a.m. also, preceded later Sunday morning, according to Capt. Scott Lee of the Sheriff’s Office.
