Ronald Bell Cause of DeathDied: Ronald Bell of Kool and the Gang has kicked the basin at home at 68 years of age. No explanation behind death was given.

Alongside his kin, Robert and five of their school allies — Dennis Thomas, Robert Mickens, Charles Smith, George Brown and Ricky West — entertainer and saxophonist Ronald Bell assisted with setting up Kool and the Gang in 1964. They conveyed their first assortment in 1970, and with a progression of hits beginning in 1973, the music of Kool and the Gang has lifted spirits and filled dance floors for very nearly fifty years.

“Growing up, Kool and the Gang was an outstandingly acclaimed band in my family,” says Derrick Stevens, creation overseer at The Current and a host on Purple Current. “One of the fundamental tunes I sang as a five-year-old youngster was ‘Wild Boogie,’ a tune from their 1973 assortment Wild and Peaceful.”
