Thorns Road Accident – The person in question, a walker, was going across the bustling street at around 4.15 pm yesterday (Saturday, August 28) when he was struck by a dark Mercedes bequest.

Crisis administrations hurried to the scene with the Air Ambulance arriving on Stevens Park, yet unfortunately, the man couldn’t be saved.

The 50-year-old, who lived close to the scene, experienced heart failure and was articulated dead at the scene.

Police said a 44-year-elderly person who was driving the vehicle halted at the scene and is assisting with requests.

They are engaging for witnesses and any dashcam film which might have caught the occurrence.

PC Chris Ridge from West Midlands Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This is a genuine misfortune: a man just going across a street close to his home has been hit by a vehicle and lost his life.

“My contemplations are with his loved ones.

“We need to make quick work of what occurred and what hinted at the crash.

“On the off chance that anybody saw what occurred or saw a dark Mercedes driving along Thorns Road in advance then I would request that they reach out.

“Additionally, in case anybody was driving close by and has run cam I would inquire as to whether they’ve gotten the Mercedes on camera.
