Posted by JBLM Accident Today – A deadly accident on southward Interstate 5 close to the Main Gate of Joint Base Lewis-McChord caused traffic defers Wednesday morning. The right two paths of traffic were hindered due to the impact, detailed at around 6:40 a.m.
A driver passed on subsequent to crashing into a semi-truck, Washington State Patrol trooper Robert Reyer said. Traffic was sponsored upright to state Route 512 in Lakewood by around 9:10 a.m. Reyers said a pickup voyaging south in the left path crossed all paths of traffic going right and struck the left-back of the semi’s trailer. He said the semi-truck was halted on the right shoulder.
The pickup slammed into one more vehicle after it hit the semi-truck. The driver of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene.
Different drivers were generally not harmed. WSP troopers, WSDOT, and others reacted to the scene.
