Campbell Martin Sledding Accident – Cause of Death: A 9-year-old child in Brentwood is dead after a sledding setback.
The sledding setback happened Tuesday night on Seward Road after a Campbell Martin, who was pulled on a chamber by an ATV driven by their father, pulverized into a post box in the wake of hitting the ice. He was taken to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital where he kicked the basin from his injuries.
Three unique children were on the chamber yet weren’t hurt, Brentwood Police Department Assistant Chief Richard Hickey said.
Scales Elementary Principal Melonye Lowe certified Campbell was an understudy at the school.
“Campbell was loved by our understudies and staff,” she said in a clarification to The Tennessean. “He had a sweet smile and a sort and cognizant soul. He loved games and he played as hard as he worked. He was an especially certain light in his investigation corridor reliably. Campbell will unendingly be venerated and missed by our Scales family.”
The passing excess parts under investigation by Brentwood police.
This is, at any rate, the second sledding setback to occur in Williamson County. A 3-year-old in Franklin dove into the Harpeth River Tuesday while sledding and was defended by their mother.
