Thomas Jahanian Obituary Cause of Death: The Carnegie Mellon University people group is grieving the demise of Thomas Jahanian, the 28-year-old child of President Farnam Jahanian, who suffocated Saturday in the Monongahela River.

The occurrence occurred in the space of the tenth Street Bridge in Pittsburgh, where the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission revealed seeing Jahanian go submerged around 1:45 p.m.

Pittsburgh River Rescue pulled Jahanian from the water not long after the underlying report. He was taken to eighteenth Street Wharf before he was shipped to a neighborhood medical clinic, where he was articulated dead, KDKA in Pittsburgh announced.

A representative for Carnegie Mellon University expressed the episode on Sunday.

“I can affirm that yesterday evening, Carnegie Mellon University President and Mrs. Jahanian’s child, Thomas Jahanian, lamentably died in a suffocating mishap,” the representative said. “The Jahanian family offers gigantic thanks toward the onlooker who saw him needing help while swimming and quickly called 911, notwithstanding the salvage groups on the scene and the clinical experts at the emergency clinic. The family requests protection as they grieve the unforeseen and grievous loss of their child.”

The conditions of Jahanian’s suffocating were not given. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner had not given an authority reason for death starting on Monday morning.

Farnam Jahanian, a recognized PC researcher and business visionary, became Carnegie Mellon’s tenth president in 2018 after already filling in as executive and break a president.
