Brennan Matter Obituary Cause of Death: Brennan Matter, 24, of Bellevue, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021, in Toledo, Ohio, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center from injuries sustained in a car accident. He was born on June 29, 1996, in Bellevue.

Brennan graduated in 2015 from Bellevue Senior High School, where he attended EHOVE. Brennan was a unique individual. He was full of life with a passion for the outdoors, whether it be hiking, camping, or stargazing. He enjoyed travelling the United States not only to learn his history but also to venture to new places. His favourite was exploring old forts and battleships. Europe was next on his travel list. Of all the joys in him, Brennan’s greatest passion was computer games. He would play day and night if he could. He also enjoyed games like Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, and the classics.

Volunteering was central to Brennan’s life. He volunteered at the German American Festival to help with the Steinstossen and Masskrugstemmen events. He spent time delivering groceries to elders at Rotary Commons. Brennan was the type of person who would always be there for you if you need help or a shoulder to lean on.

Brennan spent summers at Camp Nuhop to learn and teach others how to accept and love themselves. He went from being a participating child to a counsellor. His drive to always include people and let them know that someone cared was what made him so special.

Brennan is survived by his grandmother, Jodi Matter of Bellevue; Aunt, Misty (Kyle) Brown from St. Louis, Missouri; and his daughter, Adaline, whom he adored; along with many other family members and friends.
